The Lakenvelder is thought to originate from the Westfalen area of Germany as long ago as the 1830s. The name, however, is Dutch and is believed to mean a shadow on a sheet, describing their striking black and white plumage.
Drawn in artist quality graphite pencil, on acid free 165gsm textured paper. This original piece is 8x6”.
This piece is for sale mounted in an archival, acid free mount, ready for framing.
